To access the login section of any WordPress site you must first arrive at the website, for this demonstration we will be using the Dragon Art Design homepage:
Once here, we must then proceed to the login section. To do this, type ‘/wp-admin’ (minus the quote marks) at the end of the website address in the URL bar:
After that, you will arrive at a page identical or similar to the one shown above.
Input your username and password in the designated fields & click the blue ‘Log in’ button.
Once the system has verified your details, you will be granted access and directed to the WordPress ‘Dashboard’:
Once here, you can navigate to anywhere on the back end of the site & have the ability to create, delete or edit posts/pages, add or remove plugins, manipulate the appearance of the front of the site, monitor the sites visitors, add media (pictures, videos etc), add, edit and delete users & edit certain settings. All of these items can be accessed using the menu to the left of the screen.
If you have a more custom Theme, with additional options located on the left hand side of the screen (the grey bar to the left of the screenshot above) then you may have extra features with which to control and utilise; these will be explained under Additional Options.
